>Keep track of your Timing belt interval !

>Many people overlook the importance of knowing the state of their timing belt. The belts on the VW’s and Audi vehicles that come in through the shop should be replaced every 120 to 130 thousand kilometers. It is difficult to tell the age/condition of your belt on these vehicle so it is very important you have this in your records, or check on this when buying a used vehicle. You may be wondering what happens if this belt fails ? Here are some photos of a failed belt on a 2002 Audi a6 2.7T , the vehicle required a new engine as the valves bent when the belt broke.
